The data set includes a computed tomography (CT) scan of the Alderson phantomand 7 structures sets corresponding to 7 common head and neck radiotherapy cases in the standard Digital Imaging and Communication in Medicine (DICOM) format. The structure set contains organ-at-risk (OAR) delineation for all relevant structures in the head and neck according to latest international guidelines (Brouwer et al. Radiother. Oncol. 2015, Sun et al. Radiother. Oncol. 2014) as well as clinical target volume (CTV) and planning target volumes (PTV) with density overrides where relevant (air regions or for infiltrative tumours). The CT and associated structure set can be used for treatment planning studies. Institutions with their own Alderson phantom can use rigid or deformable registration to propagate the contours from our structure set to their own phantom CT scan to enable measurements.
