File List: Filename: Dataset_Cdyn_dogs.csv Short description: Data entry per enrolled patient including measured variables and related patient data. Date of creation: 2024-08-28 2. Relationship between files: - 3. Are there multiple versions of the dataset? no -------------------------- METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION -------------------------- 1. Description of methods used for collection/generation of data: Dogs with an ASA classification of I and II (American Society of Anesthesiologists), client-owned dogs undergoing anaesthesia according to their clinical condition were recruited at the discretion of the responsible anaesthetists in each centre. The exclusion criterion included: history of lung disease, known lower respiratory tract disease and any intra-anaesthetic complication (e.g., hypotension, hypoxaemia) at the time of the measurement. The tracheas of the dogs had to be intubated (orotracheal intubation) and the lungs mechanically ventilated for them to be included in the study. Factors likely to impact on Cdyn, identified from previous literature and through an online survey, were recorded. 2. Methods for processing the data: The data obtained from the various centres was compiled in an Excel file. 3. Instrument- or software-specific information needed to interpret the data: - 4.
