Characterization of dynamic compliance of the respiratory system in anaesthetized dogs

In clinical practice, evaluating dynamic compliance of the respiratory system (Cdyn) could provide valuable insights into respiratory mechanics. Reference ranges based on body weight have been reported but are based on small number of animals, and various factors are likely to impact its value. This multicentre study aimed to establish a reference interval for Cdyn and identify confounding variables. Data were collected from 515 client-owned dogs requiring anaesthesia, excluding those with lower airway disease.
