Description
State of the art pediatric hematology and oncology multimodal treatments require a multidisciplinary and interprofessional, as well as patient- and family-centered approach for best care. Complementary medicine (CM) is frequently used in child and adolescent health care in Switzerland [1], and requests about CM to pediatricians in Switzerland are as high as 97% [2]. However, the use of complementary treatments may stay unaddressed due to different factors such as lack of knowledge, lack of time or being uncomfortable talking about this topic in hematology/oncology care [3]. Yet, talking about CM is inevitable for safe and best care.
