Description
Why are some firms more successful than others in translating their corporate entrepreneurship activities into firm performance? Drawing on decision-heuristics research, we develop a model to show how adopting a firm-level portfolio approach to the pursuit of corporate entrepreneurship, enables firms to better coordinate and prioritize initiatives, which in turn positively affects firm performance. Applying a mixed-methods approach, using information from expert-interviews, a survey and secondary data, we provide into insights corporate entrepreneurship decision-making and how portfolio-level attributes interact to explain differences in firm-performance.
