Description
The recent years of activity at the LHC have brought to light several anomalies in exclusive semileptonic b → sl+l− decays that are shortly reviewed here. Our latest global model inde- pendent analysis is pointing to sizable New Physics contributions to different Wilson coefficients (especially C9). An accurate analysis of hadronic uncertainties shows that the few attempts in the literature to explain the anomalies using factorizable or non-factorizable power corrections fail. Finally, we propose a new set of observables able to test for lepton-flavour universality violation and free of hadronic uncertainties in the Standard Model. The properties of these observables are analysed within the Standard Model as well as within several New Physics benchmark scenarios.
