A recent study describes lower prevalence for lameness and better claw health fpr cowa housed in compost bedded pack (CBP) barns compared to freestall barns in Minnesota and easern South Dakoto (Lobek et al., 2011). Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the influence of CBP barns on lameness scores and claw health in German dairy herds.
