Characterization of therapeutic oligonucleotides

Details
Abstract
Nucleic acids are involved in the storage and processing of genetic information and contribute to the regulation of various cellular processes. Thus, they represent attractive targets for drugs against gene-related diseases. On the other hand, structurally modified antisense oligonucleotides are designed to specifically interfere with gene expression at the mRNA level. This presentation gives an overview of our recent research activities focused on the tandem mass spectrometric characterization of therapeutic oligonucleotides and the interaction of transition metal-based anti-cancer drugs with their nucleic acid targets.
