Out/Site. The Sculptor’s Symposia Series and Cold War Artistic Exchange

The project and workshop will initiate research on the hitherto unexplored phenomenon of outdoor
sculpture symposia, which allowed exchange between artists from Western and Eastern European
countries during the so-called Cold War. Outside of an institutional framework, these meetings enabled the development
of concepts of mutual cooperation across the borders of world politics.
