Preregistration in Animal Experimentation – A Qualitative Study on Researchers’ Views in Switzerland
Project description
This dataset contains anonymised verbatim transcripts from the qualitative component of a mixed-methods study on preregistration practices in Swiss animal research. In total, 30 semi-structured interviews were conducted with study directors who currently or previously held a license for animal experimentation, as well as researchers working with animals in academic or industrial settings. Of these, 28 participants provided consent for their anonymised transcripts to be shared publicly; only these 28 transcripts are included. The interviews explored experiences with preregistration, perceived benefits and barriers, and suggestions to support broader uptake. All transcripts were cleaned, fully anonymised, and used for the thematic analysis presented in the associated manuscript.
